Job Summary

Job Summary

Misgaran is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Accountant to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, production costing, inventory control, budgeting support, and financial analysis in a manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial records, maintain the integrity of accounting data in QuickBooks, support management with financial decision-making, and strengthen internal financial controls.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting

  • Maintain the company's accounting records using QuickBooks.
  • Record all financial transactions accurately and on time.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain the General Ledger.
  • Ensure proper classification of income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and equity.
  • Perform monthly closing activities.

Accounts Management

  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Prepare customer invoices and monitor collections.
  • Process supplier payments according to company policies.
  • Reconcile customer and supplier balances.

Banking & Cash Management

  • Prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor cash flow and daily cash balances.
  • Verify petty cash transactions.
  • Ensure proper cash controls.

Inventory & Production Costing

  • Monitor inventory transactions with warehouse and production departments.
  • Verify material consumption and finished goods movements.
  • Calculate production costs including:
    • Raw Materials
    • Direct Labor
    • Manufacturing Overhead
  • Analyze production variances and recommend improvements.
  • Support inventory counts and stock reconciliation.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare:
    • Monthly Financial Statements
    • Profit & Loss Statement
    • Balance Sheet
    • Cash Flow Statement
    • Cost Reports
    • Management Reports
  • Prepare monthly financial performance analysis.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets.
  • Monitor budget utilization.
  • Compare actual performance against budget.
  • Support financial forecasting.

Internal Control & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies.
  • Maintain proper filing of accounting documents.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with Afghanistan tax regulations.
  • Strengthen internal financial controls.

Management Support

  • Provide financial reports to senior management.
  • Assist management in business decision-making.
  • Recommend cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support strategic financial planning.
  • Prepare financial analyses as requested by management.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • ACCA (Partially Qualified or Fully Qualified) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production company is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of production costing and inventory accounting.
  • Experience using QuickBooks.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
