30 December – An email communication shared in confidence yesterday with Country Directors of member organizations, saw its content widely shared in error.
This information was taken out of context and misconstrued, as it was intended to be shared for members' review and then later presented as possible suggestions to the Ministry of Economy for consideration.
ACBAR regrets that it was misinterpreted as a statement and that it was widely circulated externally without consent and verification. We reaffirm our commitment to supporting the Afghan people and maintaining constructive engagement with all stakeholders.
