Engagement training in Kabul for SHAPE TPP Partners
Engagement is one of the most important strategic approaches of organizations that can play an important role in the success of long-term and short-term programs and projects. Engagement can include different dimensions and levels, and its absence or not being properly adapted, can cause losses for the organization.
Continuing its capacity building efforts, ACBAR conducted a two-days in person training on Engagement in ACBAR’s main office Kabul on 3-4 February, 2025, with the participation of 37 staff members from SHAPE-TPP partner NNGOs. The main goal of this training was to increase the knowledge and skills of the participating NNGOs staff in engagement, so they can create strategies that effectively influence policies and rally support.
Key points that were focused in this training were; concept and importance of engagement in community level and policy level, engagement cycle and its necessity, strategies of engagement with various stakeholders for successful implementation of their projects, and evaluate various communication tools for engagement.
The majority of participants were program staff, representing a specific demographic within the training cohort. Participants from partner NNGOs and program teams were expected to benefit the most from the training, as they are responsible for developing projects and programs, including design and planning.
ACBAR is keen to actively engage and interact with its partners, allowing for knowledge sharing that benefits the humanitarian community in Afghanistan.
