    TASK TO BE PERFORMED

    • Sign and adhere to standardized Code of Conduct (CoC)sign standardized Code of Conduct (CoC) and adhere to all behavioral standards outlined in the CoC following receipt of orientation to the CoC by the LTA Holder.
    • Establishment of ECD parenting centers: in close collaboration with Client team as well as ECD officer and master trainers, establish ECD parenting centers in existing and new spaces according to guidelines given and register caregivers and children to these centers.
    • Development of parenting syllabi, modules and lesson plans: working with other project team members (ECD officers and master trainers) and an international consultant, design and develop a comprehensive and culturally sensitive parenting syllabi, modules and lesson plans focusing on responsive caregiving, positive and playful parenting, caregivers' mental health, and children early stimulation for enhancing pre-literacy and language skills tailored to the needs and context of caregivers in Afghanistan, and contribute to parenting program material development.
    • Participation at Training of Trainers (ToT): Participate in training of trainers (ToT) sessions arranged by the ECD master trainers in center of provinces.
    • Facilitation of Group Sessions: drawing upon learnings from the ToT sessions, conduct engaging and informative group sessions to caregivers, utilizing interactive techniques and adult learning methodologies to ensure effective knowledge transfer and skill development.
    • Monitoring and Evaluation: assess the impact of the parenting program, gather feedback, and make necessary adaptations to enhance effectiveness. Submit weekly/monthly reports outlining project progress, achievements, challenges, and recommendations. Participate to weekly/monthly meetings to discuss project progress.

Participate at relevant Communities of Practices (CoPs).
    • Compliance with Environmental and Social Safeguarding (ESS):
    • Conduct and document stakeholder engagement activities, including ESS and GRM awareness sessions.
    • Engage in ongoing collaboration and communication with the required stakeholders to support ECE program.
    • Ensure CBE classes have GRM systems, including GRM logbook, incident logbook designated focal points, and Client call center posters.
    • Record and resolve grievances within the reporting month.
    • Ensure that implementation of ESS measures is monitored on regular basis
    • All ECD facilitators get oriented to standardized Code of Conduct (CoC) and sign it.

    DELIVERABLE(s)

    • - All ECD facilitators get oriented to standardized Code of Conduct (CoC) and sign it.
    • - Each ECD facilitator will establish at least one ECD parenting center and register a range of 150 - 200 caregivers and 300-400 children in existing and new spaces in target geographies.
    • - A set of syllabi, modules, and lesson plans for the parenting program, aligned with international standards and contextualized to the target population needs.
    • - Active Participation to Training of Trainers (ToT) held in center of provinces.
    • - Each ECD facilitator will conduct parenting sessions and personalized support and guidance to a range of 150 - 200 caregivers and 300-400 children in target geographies during project lifetime.
    • - Data collection for baseline and endline surveys and submit data to relevant project teams and Client M&E teams.
    • - Weekly/Monthly progress reports are submitted.
    • - Weekly/monthly meetings participated.

    Minimum Qualification and Experience:

    • - The ECD facilitator must have at least graduated from the 12th grade, with preference given to those with a 14th grade and bachelor's degree
    • - Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience working with caregivers and very young children.

    • - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish trust and rapport with caregivers from varying backgrounds.
    • - Ability to collect and report data.
    • - Fluency in local languages. Proficiency in English is an advantage.
    • Knowledge of early childhood development and early education, nutrition and gender issues in Afghanistan is an advantage.

    Previous work experience with Client Afghanistan ECD and parenting programs is an asset.
