About Rural Rehabilitation Association for Afghanistan:

Rural Rehabilitation Association for Afghanistan (RRAA) established in 1990 and registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan under registration number 50 as a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political organization based in Kabul, Afghanistan. RRAA is a member of ACBAR and AHF/OCHA and delivers humanitarian and development services through four regional offices in the North, Central, East, and West. RRAA operates in the sectors of Rural livelihoods, local Governance, WASH, Humanitarian Emergency Response.

Job Description:

Under direct management and technical supervision of Provincial Project Manager. The CEP Officer will be assigned to provide direct support on integrated CEP programme coordination, data collection, evidence generation, social mobilization, community engagement and feedback mechanism interventions. 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and management support to CEP programme data collection, evidence generation, CEP programme planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation.
  • Ensure proper timely planning, implementation, monitoring and facilitation and of CEP & AAP activities with programme partners, provincial/districts stakeholders and social mobilizers.
  • Conduct capacity building trainings and orientation sessions to CEP/AAP staff including social mobilizers and community structures at districts/provinces level.
  • Participate in provincial/district coordination meetings related to CEP/AAP, Health, Nutrition, Education, WASH, Child Protection and Emergency response programme activities. Ensure RRAA and donor visibility and branding in all interventions.
  • Support field level emergency preparedness and response activities, perform monitoring visits to project sites using standardized monitoring form/checklist.
  • Provide technical support on data collection, data analysis and reporting related to CEP/AAP activities at district/province level. As per the established format prepare and submit CEP/AAP programme progress report on monthly basis.
  • Engage community structures/key influencers and communities in collecting/responding to community feedback.
  • Identify human-interest stories of CEP interventions, provide support to the distribution of relevant supplies IEC and BCC materials and supplies.
  • Liaise with (INGOs/NGOs) programme partners and local authorities on integrated CEP programme interventions.
  • Conduct frequent programme field visits to project sites to ensure smooth implementation of the CEP/AAP activities based on project workplan.

Job Requirements:

  • University degree in one of the following fields is required:

Social Science, Public Administration, Public Health, Sociology, Communication, International Relations, Education or another relevant technical field.

  • Advanced university degree with at least 2 years of professional work experience or first university degree with at least 5 years of professional work experience.
  • Ability to read, write and fluently speak in English, Pashto and Dari languages.  
  • Excellent knowledge of Computer Literacy/Microsoft Office 365/Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other software programs)
  • Ability to speak publicly, knowledge and skills of documenting activities (writing short articles/success stories and project activity reports).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a result-oriented manner under demanding working conditions, often with short deadlines.
  • Candidates must be from the local area/duty station and familiar with the local community and environment.
