Tdh has been working in Afghanistan since 1995 and carry out projects related to Child Protection, Mother and Child health and Livelihood Programs in Kabul, Balkh, Kunar and Nangarhar provinces

Job Summary

The Finance Intern will support the Finance Department in maintaining organized financial records, scanning and archiving finance documents, filing vouchers, and providing general administrative support to ensure efficient financial operations. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain practical experience in finance and accounting within a professional environment.

Main responsibilities:

  • File and organize finance documents, vouchers, invoices, receipts, contracts, and supporting documentation.

  • Scan finance documents and maintain electronic records in accordance with the Tdh's filing system.

  • Ensure proper labeling, and archiving of both physical and electronic finance files.

  • Assist in preparing finance files for internal and external audits.

  • Support the finance team in organizing monthly financial documentation.

  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and organizational records.

  • Assist in photocopying, printing, binding, and compiling financial documents when required.

  • Support data entry and updating of finance records under supervision.

  • Assist with document retrieval when requested by finance staff.

  • Help maintain inventory of finance office stationery and filing materials.

  • Perform other finance and administrative duties assigned by the Sr, Finance Manager.

Job Requirements

Education :

Fresh graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) or a related field.

Experience / Skills :

  • No prior work experience is required.

  • Basic knowledge of accounting and finance principles.

  • Good organizational and filing skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Familiarity with scanning equipment and document management

Languages:

Good verbal and written English, in addition to excellent in Pashto and Dari

IT knowledge :

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
