Way of Hope to Life Organization (WHLO) is a non-profit, non-political, and non-governmental organization founded by 2002 by a group of Afghan intellectuals and youth with a shared vision of creating meaningful empowerment and a brighter future for Afghan communities. WHLO is officially registered with the Ministry of Economy under registration number 480.

Over the past 23 years, WHLO has successfully implemented more than 250 projects across Afghanistan in the areas of: Education, Health, Food Security & Livelihood, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), and Community Development.

Job Summary

Job Summary:

Under the guidance of the Project Manager, the Social Mobiliser engages target communities, builds their capacity through counselling and training, and supports community data collection to strengthen understanding, identify needs, and promote active participation in project implementation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Conduct awareness sessions and information-sharing meetings for target communities.

·         Promote active community participation in project activities.

·         Serve as a link between the organisation and community structures.

·         Support the implementation and monitoring of field-level activities.

·         Facilitate two-way communication and collect community feedback.

·         Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

·         To carry out the responsibilities of the role in a way which reflects WHLO’s commitment to protecting children in accordance with the Child Safeguarding Policy.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications and Experiences: 

·         Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field.

·         3 years of experience in NGO or community-based work, with strong communication and coordination skills.

·         Good knowledge of local culture, willingness to travel to field locations.

·         Fluency in Dari, Pashto, and good English.
