Job Summary

The THR Distributor Personnel will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day implementation of school-feeding food distribution activities in targeted schools and communities of Jawzjan Province. The position will ensure that food commodities are distributed to the correct beneficiaries in the correct quantities, while maintaining orderly distribution, accurate documentation, accountability, beneficiary dignity, and compliance with WFP and ADWSO standards.

Key Responsibilities

·        Support the implementation of THR and school-feeding food distributions at assigned schools and distribution points.

·        Review and use approved beneficiary lists, distribution plans and entitlement information before and during distribution.

·        Verify beneficiaries in accordance with the approved identification and verification procedures.

·        Ensure that the appropriate food commodity and approved quantity are provided to each eligible beneficiary.

·        Maintain an organized, transparent and orderly distribution process and support safe movement and access for beneficiaries.

·        Coordinate with school authorities, community representatives, beneficiaries, ADWSO field staff and relevant WFP/project personnel during distributions.

·        Check food commodities and packaging at the distribution point and immediately report shortages, damaged commodities or other discrepancies to the supervisor.

·        Maintain accurate distribution records, beneficiary acknowledgements and other required supporting documents.

·        Support daily reconciliation of distributed quantities against received/available quantities and report discrepancies.

·        Prevent unauthorized distribution, duplication, manipulation of beneficiary records, diversion or misuse of food commodities.

·        Provide clear and respectful information to beneficiaries regarding the distribution process and approved entitlements.

·        Receive beneficiary questions and feedback respectfully and direct complaints through the established feedback and complaints mechanisms.

·        Maintain confidentiality of beneficiary information and project records.

·        Apply safeguarding, protection, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), child safeguarding and non-discrimination principles during all activities.

·        Report protection concerns, serious incidents, misconduct, fraud, diversion or other violations through the established reporting channels.

·        Support monitoring, verification and post-distribution activities when requested by ADWSO/WFP or authorized project personnel.

·        Participate in project meetings, orientations, trainings and coordination sessions as required.

·        Prepare and submit distribution-related information and reports to the immediate supervisor within the required timeframe.

·        Perform any other duties directly related to school-feeding and food-distribution activities as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

·        High School Graduate or Related Bachelor’s degree is prefered.

·         Minimum 1 year experience in food distribution, school feeding, humanitarian assistance, community mobilization, field operations or a similar role is highly desirable.

·        Experience working with communities, schools and beneficiaries is an advantage.

·        Ability to read, write and maintain basic records in the required local language(s).

·        Basic numeracy skills and ability to accurately count and verify quantities.

·        Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.

·        Ability to work in field conditions and travel to assigned schools/distribution locations within the project area.

·        Demonstrated honesty, integrity, patience and respect for beneficiaries.

·        Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding, PSEA and protection principles is desirable.
